Request by Michael Miclette as applicant/ owner of Oglebay Norton Industrial
Sands; and Jemadojin, LLC as property owner, for an amended Special Use to allow
an increased volume of truck traffic for Mineral and Natural Resource Extraction
mining sand, specifically silica sand. The proposed 289.78-acre site is in the
A-35 (Agricultural) District. The property is located at 15420 Dearing Road,
approximately 300 feet north of Myers Road and is not within a comprehensive

A request by Nathan C. and Wendy L. Crews, for approval to rezone 65.258 acres from A-35 (Agricultural) zone district to RR-5 (Residential Rural) Zone District for development of the Crews Corner Subdivision Filing No. 1, a two (2) lot single family residential development. The property is located approximately one mile east of Calhan Hwy, approximately ¼ mile north of Funk Road, on the west side of Paint Mine and is not within a comprehensive planning area. CREWS CORNER SUBDIVISION FILING 1
Request by Nathan C. and Wendy L. Crews for Final Plat approval of the Crews Center Subdivision Filing No. 1. The proposed 65.258-acre subdivision is in the proposed RR-5 (Residential Rural) District. A rezone application is running concurrently with this application. The subdivision includes two single-family lots with a minimum lot size of 30.054 acres. The property is located approximately one mile east of Calhan Highway, approximately ¼ mile north of Funk Road, on the west side of Paint Mine and is not within a comprehensive planning area. APPROVAL OF LOCATION
CALHAN SUBSTATION AND TRANSMISSION LINE UPGRADE
Request by Mountain View Electric Association, Inc. / Tri-State, for Approval of Location, pursuant to C.R.S. 30-28-110 and Section 5.3.3 of the El Paso County Land Development Code, to rebuild the existing Mountain View's 69k V electric transmission line to a 115k V transmission line, and location for the new Calhan Substation. This project is in multiple zone districts. The Calhan Substation is on a 40-acre parcel, and the station itself will cover approximately 3.53 acres of this site. The Substation, transmission line, and easements are located near US Highway 24 running east and west between the Black Squirrel Substation at 12498 Goodson Road and the Calhan Switching Station at 24802 Scott Road spanning approximately 15 miles in the unincorporated El Paso County. ENGINEERING CRITERIA MANUAL UPDATE
El Paso County Department of Transportation
