Criteria:  Based on education and experience as specified below.

Job Requirements:  Answers incoming Division maintenance calls and greets visitors; screens calls, takes messages, determines needs, answers questions, and furnishes information regarding Division services and processes within scope of authority. Receives requests via telephone or two-way radio. Assesses urgency of request, establishes priority and refers requirement to the maintenance staff for action/scheduling. Establishes work orders in the automated work force management system. Reviews and validates the maintenance technician's daily labor sheets; ensures data is accurately entered into the computer. Coordinates the collection of data from point of origin; assists with the preprocessing of data to locate missing or inaccurate information; makes corrections as necessary. Monitors the work order system for malfunctions; reports malfunctions to appropriate personnel. Runs reports and disseminates to staff as necessary. POSITION IS SUBJECT TO ANNUAL RENEWAL OF CITY MAINTENANCE CONTRACT.

Minimum Qualifications:  High School Diploma or equivalent. ?Minimum two (2) years office experience including data entry, reception and clerical responsibilities. Ability to work independently and seek assistance from various resources to resolve questions and problems. Ability to perform data entry quickly and accurately without direct supervision. ?Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a computer, word processing, copier, fax machine and two-way radio. Ability to work and communicate effectively with co-workers, County employees, and the public. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Any equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the education and experience requirements above. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
