Criteria: Based on education and experience as specified below.
Job Requirements: Sorts, processes, and delivers incoming office mail to all DHS personnel; picks up, processes and organizes outgoing mail. Takes outgoing mail to the post office. Sorts and types a list of all monies received in the incoming mail to the agency, such as personal checks, cash, money orders, returned warrants, government checks, etc. They will be endorsed, delivered to the Business Office and balanced.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent. One (1) year full-time office clerical experience. Ability to communicate and work effectively with co-workers, DHS personnel, and the public. Ability to efficiently plan, schedule, and organize. Ability to assess situations and make prudent and appropriate decisions; ability to use conflict resolution and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Ability to use standard office equipment including computer, fax machine, copier, and telephone. Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and the appropriate level of personal vehicle insurance. Background investigation required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Any equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the education and experience requirements above. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
