El Paso County accepts applications only for currently advertised positions.

We do not keep applications, resumes, etc., on file for future use. Vacancies are posted at our office located at 105 E. Vermijo, Suite 103, or you may contact our job line recording which lists current vacancies. The job line phone number is (719) 520-7400 and is updated every Monday to keep the information accurate. Our business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our office will close on all approved County holidays.

Position vacancies are advertised when the positions are available. It is the responsibility of the applicant to monitor any future openings. If an applicant wishes to apply for several positions. a separate application, must be submitted for each position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. A resume can be accepted along with completed applications. Applications will not be returned to the applicant nor will they be reused for another position at a later date. Applications received after the specific closing date and time for a position will not be considered. Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the advertised closing date regardless of the means of submission. Positions that are "Open Until Filled" can close without prior notice. Applications are provided to the hiring department after the posted closing date for review and selection of applicants for interviews. The hiring department conducts the screening and interviewing process.
