July 29 Board of County Commissioners Meeting Will Be Hosted at the County Fairgrounds

Colorado Springs, July 22, 2010 – The July 29 meeting of the El Paso Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) will be hosted “offsite” at the El Paso County Fairgrounds in honor of the 105th installment of the El Paso County Fair. This meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and will follow the usual BoCC format but will dedicate some of its agenda to highlight the County Fair and its many activities. Due to the remote technical limitations the meeting will not be streamed live on the county website (www.elpasoco.com) but it will be broadcast the following evening, July 30 at 9 p.m. on Comcast Channel 17, The Library Channel.

Members of the public who plan to attend the July 29 BoCC meeting are advised to enter through the main entrance to the Fairgrounds which is located on the south side of the complex where there is plenty of parking.  Attendees for the BoCC meeting are asked to arrive prior to the 9 a.m. start meeting and let the attendant know that they are coming for the meeting.  There will be no admission charge to enter the complex for the meeting. 

The El Paso County Fairgrounds is located at 366 10th Street in Calhan, CO. Directions: Take Highway 24 east to Calhan, turn right at 10th Street and then follow the signs to the Fairgrounds.
