We Need your Help to Feed the Children

November 5, 2009 – Thanks to many of your generous donations in the past it is time once again to prepare for the annual Feed the Children event. Last year 4 semi trucks lined up on a chilly December morning and unloaded food, gifts, personal hygiene items and books for 1,200 of the neediest families in our community. This year the need is bigger than ever and we hope to unload 7 semi trucks, but we can’t do it without the community’s help!

Feed the Children is a partnership between the El Paso County Department of Human Services, The Musical Evangelism Foundation, Goodwill Industries and a long list of other donors and volunteers. It is a one day event just before Christmas where the families already receiving help from the Department of Human Services are able to enjoy a day of celebration and get many items they desperately need.
