5% of Sales at Whole Foods Market on Thursday November 5th goes toward Feed the Children

November 5, 2009 – Thanks to El Paso County's continued efforts toward public-private partnerships, shopping at Whole Foods on Thursday November 5th will have a huge impact on the neediest families in our community.  5% of all sales at both of the Whole Foods Markets in Colorado Springs will go toward the Feed the Children event, scheduled to take place this December.

Feed the Children is a cooperative effort between the El Paso County Department of Human Services (DHS), The Music Evangelism Foundation, Goodwill Industries and a long list of other donors and volunteers. It is a one day event where the families already being helped by DHS receive a box of food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies along with toys, clothes and a day of celebration.  Last year 1,200 families received a boost during the holiday season from Feed the Children.  This year with the increased need in our community we hope to nearly double the amount of families served.

We need your help to raise enough money to reach our goals.
