POSTAGE ON RETURN BALLOTS

October 15, 2009 – Colorado Springs, CO – The November 3, 2009 election ballots have been mailed and some voters have had questions regarding the amount of postage that is required to return the ballot. If a voter is returning only the ballot, standard postage of $0.44 is sufficient. In some circumstances a voter may be required to return identification or a form along with their ballot. In that instance, extra postage could be required. If anything needs to be returned with the ballot there will be a stamp indicating what is needed on the back of the envelope sent to the voter.

For people who do not want to return the ballot by mail, ballots may be dropped off at any of the three Clerk & Recorder’s office locations:
Centennial Hall, 200 S. Cascade
Powers Boulevard, southeast corner of Powers and Airport
Chapel Hills, north side of Chapel Hills Mall, next to JCPenney

For questions regarding the November 3, 2009 election refer to the Election Website at http://car.elpasoco.com/election or call (719) 575-VOTE (8683).
