Regulatory Review Committee

The Regulatory Review Committee is advisory to the Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners on suggested revisions to the EL Paso County Land Development Code which contains Zoning and Subdivision Regulations governing the unincorporated area of the County.

Meetings of the Regulatory Review Committee are held on the first Wednesday of each month, on an "as needed" basis. The agenda is available approximately one week in advance of the meeting.

Meetings are normally held in the Planning Division's Conference Room, Fifth Floor, County Office Building, 27 East Vermijo Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado. They begin at 9:30 a.m.

Members of this Committee are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Some terms (those representing various County departments/ entities) are indefinite; others (representing various interest groups and citizens at large) have a three-year duration. Terms usually expire in May and vacancies are advertised in the Gazette-Telegraph. The Regulatory Review Committee is governed by adopted Bylaws, Resolution No. 96-57, General-24, adopted by the Board of County Commissioners February 22, 1996, as well as Roberts' Rules of Order.
