Notice
to All Applicants
Please
be aware that if your submittal is not complete it will either not
be accepted or not scheduled for hearing until such time as a completed
application, pursuant to the requirements of the El Paso County
Land Development Code, has been provided to the Planning Division. Scheduling will then occur based on the meeting dates
of the Planning Commission (the third Tuesday of each month), following
adequate review time for staff and referral agencies.
NOTE:
On October 26, 2000, the Board of County Commissioners took action
to suspend the submittal cycle for a trial period of one year.
This is further explained in a November
22, 2000, letter.
In
most instances, a pre-application conference is required to ensure
all issues are addressed so applications will be complete when formally
submitted.
Applications
are submitted by scheduling an appointment with the Point of Contact
for the project. Appointments should be scheduled between the hours
of 8:00 a.m. to noon, or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through
Firday. This will assist the Department in its review of applications
for completeness.
It
is the intent of the Planning Division to make sure applications,
including all required reports, are complete and address all
applicable issues. This will avoid lengthy delays in actual
processing of applications.
The
Department thanks you for your cooperation in this matter. Any questions,
please contact the Planning Division at (719) 520-6300.
