Mountain Backdrop Study

The Mountain Backdrop Study is a five (5) county joint planning effort involving Larimer, Boulder, Jefferson, Douglas and El Paso Counties. This effort is partially underwritten by Colorado Lottery revenues provided through Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO). 

The purpose of the Study is to identify and evaluate Critical Parcel Candidate Lands (CPCLs) within the Mountain Backdrop for potential conservation or preservation as open space. This program is non-regulatory with an emphasis on potential acquisition of property or development rights on a willing seller basis.
