School
Fee Advisory Committee
Members
of the School Fee Advisory Committee were appointed by the Board
of County Commissioners to advise and make recommendations to the
Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners on matters
related to the establishment and update, on an annual basis, of
Subdivision School Fees in Lieu of Land Dedication as set forth
in Section 49.3 B. of the El Paso County Land Development Code.
The
five-member Committee meets on an "as needed" basis. Meetings are
normally held in the Planning Division's Conference Room, Fifth
Floor, County Office Building, 27 East Vermijo, Colorado Springs,
Colorado.
Volunteer
members serve three-year terms and include a certified land appraiser,
a land developer, a builder actively engaged in the construction
and sale of housing, and two representatives from Schools Districts
in both urban and rural areas.
This
committee is governed by adopted Bylaws, Resolution No. 96-57, General-24,
adopted by the Board of County Commissioners February 22, 1996,
as well as Roberts' Rules of Order.
